"Ziibiwing Center of Anishinabe Culture & Lifeways: Take a Walk in Our Shoes"
The Ziibiwing Center of Anishinabe Culture & Lifeways was established in May of 2004 with a vision to educate and inform people about the lives of culture of the Anishinabe people. Ziibiwing, which means "by the river" in the Ojibwe language, speaks of an ancestral gathering place along the Chippewa River.
The Ziibiwing Center honors the ancestors, who against tremendous odds, protected and passed down the cultural knowledge, language, and teachings of our people. This book is a convenient alternative option to the guided tour you would get by actually making a visit to the Ziibiwing Center.
